Darla is the physical education teacher. She has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Louisville. She has been at Ascension for 17 years. She was a 4th grade teacher for 12 years before moving to P.E. When not at Ascension, she is playing tennis, walking or watching her grandchildren!

Class Description 

In physical education, students will be encouraged to have fun and participate to the best of their abilities in a wide variety of activities. Students will work on skills that include dribbling, kicking, throwing, striking and catching. Sportsmanship will be a focus as well as respect and fairness, flexibility, agility and muscular strength. All of these small steps are geared to promote lifelong fitness.
